Sicily: meaning and significance Flag of Trinacria
The Sicilian Trinacria is the head of the Gorgon Medusa in the center with the classical evolution triskelion, and in addition, the sides of the wings the face of the Gorgon, and as it appears in some images, three ears of wheat, one in each leg of the triskelion gap between itself and each other. Since then, the Greek Trinacria transported to Sicily, became a symbol of Sicily itself, and especially for the similar triangular island.
